Position

MARINE MECHANIC

Job Summary

The Marine Mechanic, also referred to as marine technicians, examine, maintain and repair a variety of diesel boats. They test and repair boat engines, hulls, propellers, rigging, masts, sails and navigational equipment. Marine mechanics are responsible for performing repair work on marine engines using hand and power tools along with technical manuals. These individuals also must regularly inspect and test engine equipment to identify and prevent problems. The engines they maintain can be the portable outboard engines of small boats, inboard-outboard diesel engines on sailing vessels.

Description of Responsibilities
Performs major and specialized mechanical overhaul and repair work on gasoline and marine engines, outboard motors, and related marine equipment and systems using schematic charts and technical manuals.

Establishes and maintains a preventive maintenance program for marine engines and related marine research equipment.

Tests marine engines and equipment to determine need for repairs or adjustments. Repairs and maintains hydraulic equipment and valves.


Operates hand and power tools associated with marine engine and equipment repair. Assists in fabrication of equipment.


Start motors and monitor performance for signs of malfunctioning, such as smoke, excessive vibration, or misfiring.


Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems.


Document inspection and test results and work performed or to be performed.


Perform routine engine maintenance on motorboats, such as changing oil and filters. Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
Disassemble and inspect motors to locate defective parts, using mechanic's hand tools and gauges Idle motors and observe thermometers to determine the effectiveness of cooling systems.


Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair
Repair electrical circuits or wiring.


Works assigned shift/s as needed, must be available to work depending upon customer arrival and departure scheduled

Job Position

BOAT CLEANING TEAM INSIDE/OUTSIDE

Job Summary


We are looking for candidates to join our boat detailing team for both the inside or outside spaces.

Description of Responsibilities Inside Detailing

  • While working in a team
    • Clean all rooms of the boats and washrooms
    • Make the beds
    • Clean kitchen and salon spaces
  • Report broken items or equipment that does not work in the living spaces

Keep the dock clean and report any interior items that are missing on the vessels.

Description of Responsibilities Outside Detailing

These might include washing down the exterior of the boat with soap and water, polishing metal surfaces, waxing wooden decks, etc. In addition to keeping the boat clean and shiny, they may also be tasked with removing any stains or marks that have accumulated over time.

  • While working in a team of 2-3
    • Clean all boat lockers
    • Assist inside team in cleaning the bilges
    • Cleaning, polishing, and waxing the exterior of a boat, including removing dirt and stains from the deck, hull, and cabin areas
    • Remove rust from stainless steal deck items

Keep the dock clean and report any exterior items that are missing on the vessels




Position

Junior Dock Hand 

Job Summary

As a dock hand, you in the front line of serving their clients and assisting them on their departure/arrival journey to the Bahamas, therefore you are expected to provide excellent customer service!  Your primary responsibilities are boarding and deboarding clients on the vessels. You help other dock hands with duties such as securing boats to docks, monitoring power, water. Making sure dock and workshop areas are clean. Adhere to and maintaining quality standards set by the company.  and complete requests such as transporting each customer and their baggage to and from the dock.


 Description of Responsibilities

• Pre-boarding boats, making sure vessel is ready for charter guests
• Boarding boats with clients, give the technical briefing of the boats
• Deboarding the boats, technical debrief with the captain
• Perform daily opening and closing job duties
• Clean, inspect, and report on the condition of the rental fleet
• Clean restrooms, docks, walkways, sidewalks, equipment, and all other areas of the facility.

Position

SENIOR Dock Hand 

Job Summary

As a dock hand, you in the front line of serving their clients and assisting them on their departure/arrival journey to the Bahamas, therefore you are expected to provide excellent customer service! Your primary responsibilities are boarding and deboarding clients on the vessels. You help other dock hands with duties such as securing boats to docks, monitoring power, water. Making sure dock and workshop areas are clean. Adhere to and maintaining quality standards set by the company. and complete requests such as transporting each customer and their baggage to and from the dock.

You operate a boat and other equipment as needed and help the team maintain general security while reporting potential concerns.

• Assist charter guests going to/from fuel dock and assigned slip
